FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Fantasy Gothic Waltz San Francisco - Stylish Underground Entertainment
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - November 29, 2005
Thursday 8 pm December 22nd, 2005 - San Franciscofs first Fantasy Gothic Waltz emerges at the Cherry Bar for the next episode of one of todayfs most exciting underground movements. Scene developing bands, DJs, Fantasy Gothic Waltzing, Gothic Bazaar, and a Gothic Lolita costume contest all combine into one action-packed evening of entertainment. The Waltz is very much a social happening where the audience expresses their own creativity through their attire. They are as much a part of the interlude as the performers.
Evolving out of the Dark Castle model, Fantasy Gothic Waltz embraces the emotion of the Rococo era. Love and romance in a world of dreams harmonize with the elegant spirit of a more distant past. Ignited in Tokyo, when Robert Blaque (Secret Secret) met Genet (Auto-Mod), the Dark Castle framework was initially developed by Genet and Taroo, leaders of the Tokyo underground movement. A four year old world renown brisance that people travel from the far reaches to attend. Gothic couples have even planned their honeymoons around Dark Castle events. Now Robert Blaque continues this delightful experience in San Francisco.
What makes FGWSF unique to other events is the infusion of Japanese cultural elements. The Japanese are famous for their uncanny ability to take on pop culture by adding their own bizarre twist. Similar in the way Anime and Manga have become a part of our culture, the Japanese eloquence is making its way to the local goth scene. One of the most striking elements is the Elegant Gothic Lolita. This courtly dressed peeress is beautifully mischievous much in the way one would envision a Gothic Alice in Wonderland. FGWSF presents the opportunity to join in the festivities and experience these visions of dark beauty outside of Tokyo.
